Stephanos founded Horizon Capital in 2004. Prior to this, he was the managing director of Horizon Shipholdings, an Athens-based company he founded to capitalize on opportunities in freight trading and oil marketing. In the late 90s Stephanos founded and ran Trans Caspian Shipping, a pioneering, Azerbaijan-based shipping company that transported oil across the Caspian Sea and resolved logistical problems for oil majors Mobil and Chevron. Prior to this he ran the marketing department of Burren Energy, a UK upstream independent with operations in the Caspian Sea which was later floated in London and was eventually acquired by ENI. He holds a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.

Juan Pablo joined Horizon Capital in 2005 from Zurich Financial Services where he was a financial analyst. Prior to this, he was an analyst at the Center for Financial Stability, a leading Argentine financial services think tank. Since joining Horizon, Juan Pablo has managed a number of portfolio investments, has participated in transaction analysis, and has led the execution of various transactions. Juan Pablo holds an M.S. in Finance from St. Andrews University.

Juan Esteban joined Horizon Capital in 2005 from Corfinsura, a leading Colombian bank. During his five years with Horizon, Juan Esteban has performed buy-side acquisition analysis, has actively participated in several fund raising efforts, and stepped in as de facto general manager of one of our portfolio shipping companies. Juan Esteban received his B.A. in Economics from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Colombia.

Nikos joined Horizon in 2011. His prior experience includes overseeing, as an advisor, the successful restructuring of Autonet S.A., a USD 115 MM revenues group of companies based in Athens, Greece. He holds Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Electrical Engineering from Yale University.
